Our Culture

Take One Part Energy, Two Parts Intelligence...

Remember those really smart people you went to high school with? The ones that got the good grades, but perhaps didn’t have much patience for sophomoric pranks. The ones who didn’t have to scramble to invent extra-curricular activities when it came time to apply for college because they’d already done their volunteer work with the Red Cross or spent their Saturdays reading to blind dogs. Well, they work at OutCast now.

We set the bar extremely high because exceeding expectations is what OutCast is all about. That means not being too intimidated to ask for the cover story; that means finding creative ways to tell the same story 20 different ways; and it means having the relationships, the insight and the creativity to make all this possible.

We also work really hard - and we’re smart about that too. At OutCast, working hard doesn’t mean 20-hours days. It means knowing what our goals are and relentlessly driving toward them. It means knowing you can count on your teammate to deliver their piece of the puzzle. It means wanting to win and knowing what it takes to get it done.

We also take balance very seriously. We couldn’t maintain the level of excellence and integrity upon which we pride ourselves if we didn’t also recognize it. We recognize that excellence through quarterly employee get-togethers and our generous benefit packages that include the Balance Fund, and the Excellence & Integrity Award.

A word about fun. We have fun at work, but we don’t work for fun. There are two kinds of fun in this world. The kind of fun where everyone gets along and has a good time. Maybe you win and maybe you don’t. Then there’s the OutCast kind of fun that comes from winning together as a team. This is World Series, Academy Awards, Super Bowl, OutCast kind of fun.

So join us, and find out how much fun it is to win.
